REPORT RELEASED: Inquiry into the provision of education to students with a disability or special needs
The NSW Legislative Council committee reviewing the education for students with special needs handed down its report on 19 July 2010.

John was a member of the committee and commented:
"Students with disabilities and other special needs only thrive when they get the intensive teacher time to address their individual requirements. The Keneally government's constraints on funding have denied many children those opportunities and placed unacceptable stress on teachers and parents.
The committee recommended that the: "NSW Government substantially increase funding for students with disabilities and special needs in NSW Governmen tschools to ensure all students have equitable access to education."
In all the committee made 31 recommendations.
