Stop Hurlstone land sell-off
The NSW government plans to sell up to 140 hectares of Hurlstone Agricultural High School farm land at Glenfield in Sydney's South-West to real estate developers.
As part of the NSW Government's November 2008 Mini-Budget, The NSW Department of Education and Training (DET) announced its intention to sell land at the Hurlstone Agricultural High School (HAHS).

140 hectares of the current 160 hectare school property was designated as "surplus to future educational purposes" and slated for sale.
Selling Hurlstone is bad for the future of food
The state desperately needs a new generation of farmers and agricultural scientists. Hurlstone is important to the food production of tomorrow.
Your help is needed to save:
- opportunities for city and country students to build skills in agricultural science
- NSW's only public, selective boarding co-educational agricultural high school
- sustainable agricultural education helping to solve the global food crisis and climate change
